The Mountain Services Supervisor oversees the volunteer Ambassador program and the Mountain Concierge Desk.The Supervisor has input in the selection of volunteers and will keep updated reference guides for volunteers to access in order to provide information to our guests about Mt. Bachelor and Central Oregon.

A thorough knowledge of most mountain operations is needed to best serve our guests including tickets snow sport services rentals lost and found collection and more. Attention is needed in complete and accurate communication complaint resolution guest surveying and promotion of mountain services.Knowledge of amenities on mountain and off including Bend and the Central Oregon region is necessary for this position as well as knowledge of the Mt. Bachelor trail and lift systems.

Essential Functions Major Responsibilities:

Create and maintain an upbeat positive work environment with volunteers and staff providing information and hospitality to our guests. Possess the ability to differentiate between volunteerism and employment and supervise the Ambassadors accordingly. Audit Ambassadors routinely to ensure that the goals and expectations of the Ambassador Program are being met. Provide ongoing coaching encouragement training and development to all Ambassadors. Conduct morning informational meetings safety huddles guest service huddles training assignments and information gathering. Perform administrative duties including monthly schedules compiling progress reports maintaining staff training records and other various forms and lists. Ensure volunteer s knowledge on mountain operations ticket products and deals snow sport programs and meeting areas rentals current events and off snow activities Gather and share information necessary for the Ambassador program from all mountain departments. Always provide superior service to our internal and external guests. Respond to all guests in a courteous efficient manner. Lead by example.

Secondary Function:

The Mt. Services Supervisor must maintain a working knowledge of all guest services offered by Mt Bachelor. Monitor the Concierge Desk including Lost and Found Procedures


Specific Job Skills:

License Certifications Current and valid First Aid CPR Certification


Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Possess the skill necessary to become proficient with the ConnecTeams scheduling and communication software for Mountain Services Possess the ability to learn the operation of equipment associated with special needs access.

Physical Capabilities

Ski Ride at an advanced level Carry cases of brochures maps and supplies 25 lbs Tolerance and the ability to ride ski in cold snow wind and rainy conditions Capacity for walking standing for long periods


Able to work long days through a variety of guest interactions while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor A strong background in a customer service related position Strong communication and public relations skills Training instructional background Familiar with Central Oregon and the surrounding communities

Education Related Experience:

Minimum time in related position 2 years supervisory experience preferred
