DEPARTMENTAL SUMMARY: St. Charles Health System s Epic Connect Program is an Information Services division under the direction of the Vice President of Strategy Vice President of Population Health and Vice President of Information Services. In pursuit of our St Charles Vision Creating America s healthiest community together St. Charles Health System s Epic Connect program evaluates establishes and maintains partnerships with physician practices and hospital organizations by sharing the use of St. Charles Health System s Epic integrated EHR for the purpose of establishing a regional shared patient record. St. Charles Health System s Epic Connect Program provides better care for the collective patients we serve strengthens our collective ability to serve the community and the region and manages costs by sharing resources and creating common practice standards across St. Charles Health System s Epic Connect community.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Epic Connect Business Development Consultant will strategically design and execute programs to advance St. Charles Health s Systems vision of creating America s healthiest community together. This position will provide program coordination and support to develop document manage and execute the marketing governance communication and project execution of St. Charles Health System s Connect Program Portfolio and its associated affiliates from sales to post go live. This position will not directly manage any other caregivers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Sales and Outreach

* Responsible to grow partnerships with new and existing organizations.

* Sets the vision and strategy for partnership and negotiates partner and service agreements that enhance our customer experience and portfolio of services.

* Fosters productive working relationships with internal and external customers.

* Negotiates network agreements value based care and managed care financial agreements.

Connect Expanded Services

* Analyzes and understands trends in the health care industry.

* Develops the program strategy and executes to grow and perpetuate the business.

* Applies knowledge and expertise to identify major growth opportunities and develops business plans that enable the program to achieve strategic goals.

* Collaborates with key internal stakeholders e.g. product legal tax finance etc. and third party entities to further develop our strategies and processes.

* Ensures that the program operates according to regulatory and compliance standards along with applicable laws and health care operations.

* Develops and incubates creative thinking and innovation across the program to enhance capability and agility within the team.

* Establishes the highest quality lowest cost network that expands St. Charles Health System s mission vision and values.

* Provides strategic leadership that builds and maintains productive relationships with the payor and provider community.

* Effectively manages and measures a large number of exploratory meetings and go to market requests.

* Designs and implements test programs and pilots that expand the business in the context of emerging regulatory and financial environments.

Project Management

* Plans and executes projects and initiatives from concept to project closure.

* Is able to innovate while managing multiple priorities projects simultaneously meeting tight and often conflicting deadlines.

* Prioritizes tasks documents risk and issues manages a project schedule and milestones to successfully deliver project outcomes on time within budget and according to scope and quality.

Documentation and Standard Work

* Builds repeatable methodologies and approaches into the business program accounting for people process and technology considerations.

* Creates documentation standards toolkits and conventions.

Continuous Improvement

* Defines develops and tracks key performance indicators to identify and execute performance improvement opportunities across the business.

* Plans and executes change management projects leveraging methodologies and tools including formal change architectures models and frameworks.

* Influences individuals or groups with diverse opinions without direct control authority to accomplish program goals.

Ability to travel to business functions trainings meetings for all St. Charles Health System s community connect worksites. Occasional overnight travel will be required during active installs.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Three 3 or more years of proven success in a business development role responsible for developing and fostering strategic partnerships and or product management.

Preferred: Healthcare experience in a leadership or project management role that has demonstrated ability to navigate complex problems develop and scale innovations communicate and engage with providers achieve set objectives and communicate objectives initiatives and outcomes to a broad audience. Applicants with business development experience in healthcare will be prioritized over applicants without. Familiarity with Epic and previous Information Technology experience highly preferred.
