ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Perform a variety of highly skilled work by constructing troubleshooting maintaining and wiring a wide variety of equipment and conducting preventive maintenance programs Analyze equipment problems and breakdowns diagnosing causes and ensuring corrections for mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic repairs Work with production supervisors maintenance technicians and quality assurance as required covering shifts as scheduled ensuring equipment is running and production is prioritized Use and maintain computerized tracking systems for preventative maintenance requirements and equipment history parts inventory and other necessary records Build and or install equipment modifications per oral instructions sketches prints or samples Read and interpret blueprints schematics technical manuals and machine operation manuals Assist in managing out sourced electrical maintenance projects as assigned Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS At minimum you will hold a Limited Maintenace Electrician license and have a minimum of 5 years experience repairing and maintaining existing electrical installations on or in an existing operable plant Knowledge of industrial automation including Programmable Logic Controllers Proven experience troubleshooting maintaining repairing electro mechanical systems pneumatic and hydraulic machine operations electric motors conveyors etc Knowledge and experience with automated packaging machinery bakery processing equipment and building support systems all are an asset Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate verbal writing and present ideas effectively at all levels and with all customers internally and externally Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems Ability to perform required tasks safely in a fast paced work environment ensuring food safety quality and efficiency standards are achieved Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime weekends and holidays PHYSICAL DEMANDS Standing and walking up to 8 hours Able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs Able to continually bend stoop twist use arms wrists and hands including grasping and squeezing throughout shift Able to occasionally kneel reach above the shoulder work at heights and climb steps with components weighing 25 to 50 lbs .
